Our range includes Drycast and Wetcast concrete products which vary from paving to tiles, building blocks to wall & swimming pool copings, retaining blocks to grass blocks, kerbing to channelling, rib and block to precast staircases, walling and fencing to landscaping products.  We also have underlining products such as pots, toilets, and benches.   We are also proud franchisees of SmartStone, Terraforce SA and Wall & Fence.

We are well known throughout the Southern Cape region for not only for our excellent service but also for the quality care and after sale service we proudly offer.  Our team makes an effort to successfully assist every enquiry, no matter how big or small or how impossible it may seem, and all this within a reasonable time frame to deliver.  We have numerous plants which makes our manufacturing process smoother and faster.

We service the whole Southern Cape region, from Stillbay all the way through to Plettenberg Bay but our actual stores and plants are situated in Mossel Bay, Hartenbos, Groot Brakrivier and George.  Deliveries are, however, possible to any destination nationwide.

We have just launched our new website.  This is quite exciting as we are tweaking our website to not only be more user-friendly but also allow easier access to our brands and ranges within those brands.  We realize that now more than ever, that the public, our valuable clients don’t want to travel unnecessarily.  Our new website will not only allow our clients to explore our brands and ranges online but also purchase online.  The new website design allows you to choose your product, your colour option and even be able to assist with calculating the quantity of chosen stock required and the quantity of sand and cement required on site to successfully complete your project at hand.

It is vitally important to remember that quality determines the life span of your purchased product.  We are SABS approved which means our stamp of quality is your stamp of approval!

Unless he has a good reputation, good referrals behind his name and solid experience rather keep clear of allowing yourself of making an emotional decision which could cost you your friendship and your living space. This can be a costly loss.

Firstly, speak to a sealant specialist and inform the professional that your product is made from cement. Secondly, use a water-based sealant.  NB: Concrete is porous.

Efflorescence is a natural phenomenon which occurs when water containing dissolved salts is brought to the surface of a concrete product, the water evaporates, and the salts are left on the surface. These salt deposits are harmless.  Efflorescence is a natural process and cannot be avoided.  It is more likely to occur during rainy seasons but could occur throughout the year, depending on the natural surrounds of your living area.  We suggest leaving it to disappear on its own accord – this may take a couple of months.  The only other alternative is to wash your paving with a medium textured brush and water as this process has been successful in a few instances.  We strongly advise against using chemicals or acids on your concrete products trying to remove the efflorescence yourself.  These chemicals and acids will eat away at your product.

Cement is POROUS.  If wet cement is messed on your concrete product, it will draw into your product and cause irreparable damage.  It must be washed off immediately with clean water and medium textured brush.

Work carefully and neatly.  Fill your grout gaps line for line.  This process must be done slowly and meticulously.  You cannot grout concrete products the same way you would grout ceramic tiles.  Concrete is porous and will be stained permanently by a cementitious grout.

No, use only building sand. Sweep the building sand over your paved living space.  This sand will stabilize and “lock” your paved area firmly.

We advise against the use of a plastic layover underneath your paving as it causes paving to move out of place, especially during heavy rain.

We advise against this, as salt causes a “salt attack” which leads to rapid degradation of your product.

Construct your sub-base with stabilized G7 100-300mm thick depending on the presence of clay in your native soil and with a bedding layer 20-30mm of building sand. Compact your base correctly. This will avoid the paving from moving and sinking.

Yes, BUT, when installing SmartStone – your contractor MUST NOT compact your installed area on the bare product.  He must make use of a rubber mat, conveyer belt or thick layer of building sand to protect the surface area of your product. Compacting directly on your SmartStone product will damage your product. The type of compactor doesn’t make a difference but the process of using the compactor makes all the difference.

Color variation in pavers is affected by:

1.Curing in humidity.  (Humidity differs from day to day in our region and it may affect the curing process of the product).

2.Aggregate – Materials mined such as the sand and stone received from the quarry. (These differ slightly from day to day and are sent to us in different layers – we have no control over the color of the sand and stone aggregate.  This may cause minimal color variation between batches).

3.External factors such as hot and cold weather may also play a part in color variation but, the influence on your product should not be visible once laid, especially if your contractor has pulled product from various pallets during the installation process, as suggested in our installation guides.
